Hey Vince,
You are correct! And well said on the definitions. Also, the new version of the app automatically adjusts the sensitivity when the app is first started for the various models of phone.

Hey James, Thanks for giving the review! I've actually never gotten very large readings off of microwave ovens either. The shielding on them is usually quite good at microwave frequencies, although Mr.Ghost detects at much lower frequencies. Maybe the shielding works for all of it.

Awesome! And that's in the highest readings I've heard so far. It's likely due to high frequency off of the air purifier. You can see that with the spectrum analyzer function. Also, I would love if you put a review on Amazon about it!

Wow, that is a trippy one. I bet it's the high voltage power supply in the plasma. I wouldn't be surprised if a neon sign made a similar signal.

7-8 is the background radiation level it's designed for, so it sounds like you've got it. Yeah, my LCD TV puts off between 200 and 300 at the corners, so it sounds like yours is a lot more mellow.

Old TVs can be somewhat unsettling.
As far as holding Mr.Ghost: parallel with the floor and swinging it back and forth is best for gyro mode. Like MiggWilson said, just pointing it is fine. For detecting smaller fields, I'll hold it so the antenna is as close as possible to a potential source. For example, try holding it against the wall near a light switch and flicking the light switch on and off.

Hey Monkee,
I've tried it on a 3GS, and it does work, just not the gyro mode. As far as Android goes, we would like to make an Android version in the future. Unfortunately, I can't give you a when yet, but the program Frequensee will let you use it on Android right now. It's free in the Play store and there's an HD version as well.

Hey Christian,
An extension cable shouldn't cause any problems, but unless you hold the antenna aligned with the iPhone, the gyro mode will give you strange readings.
Good luck! .a

This forum is for people who have a Mr.Ghost EMF detector and would like to discuss their findings. Please be respectful of each other's opinions. I'll start. Attached is an audio recording of the field from my dimmer switch. With a baseline reading of around 8, my Samsung TV puts out nearly 400, while my mom's old CRT puts out over 3600! Attachments:
